Old benches and autumn leaves

In late October the autumn leaves partly covered the grass area of the playground at Centralsygehuset in Herning. Besides from these fallen leaves, the old benches at the playground really made the scene look sad, in a beautiful brown/green autumn way.

The picture was captured with a Canon 550D, using a 50mm 1.8 lens.
The raw file was imported and saved with 7 different exposures, making a fake HDR possible. Contrast boosted and Unsharpen Mask used in Photoshop. Finally the picture was added texture and framed.

As you say this does have a very melancholy look and feel, and I really like it, being so evocative of Autumn and the end of Summer, and beautifully composed. I think you could do more with some texture work in future! Very glad that I have been inspirational in the process, and thank you so much for the link back to my blog
